Ashdod Refinery believes in the connection between industry and the environment and operates on a daily basis to protect the environment and prevent environmental hazards. Over the years, the Refinery has invested extensively in projects that lead to improved environmental activities and a significant reduction in the impacts caused by the Company’s activities.

The Refinery has formulated and adopted an environmental policy and operates in accordance with its principles. The environmental policy is an integral part of the Company’s business strategy, decision-making process, performance monitoring and risk management. As part of the policy, the Company operates to promote compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations and procedures, to comply with accepted international standards and to implement the best and most economically viable technological means, in order to ensure the protection of the environment in which the Refinery operates.
